New Jersey Drive is a gritty 1995 crime drama directed by Nick Gomez and executive produced by Spike Lee. Set against the streets of 1990s Newark, the film follows a group of young friends caught up in the dangerous world of car theft, joyriding, street life, and police pressure. The movie became closely associated with the raw atmosphere of mid-'90s Hip-Hop culture, and its soundtrack is arguably one of its biggest legacies. New Jersey Drive, Vol. 1 featured an incredible lineup including Redman, OutKast, The Notorious B.I.G., Lords of the Underground, Queen Latifah, Heavy D, MC Eiht, Coolio, Keith Murray, and Total, while Volume 2 continued the Hip-Hop-heavy soundtrack with artists including Biz Markie, Naughty by Nature, O.C.
